Corendon Village Hotel #1

Another night in Amsterdam, this time at the Corendon Village Hotel on the way from Oslo to Bremen via Amsterdam. It is actually quite close to the airport, but can only be reached by transfer. The freestanding bed in the room is interesting here.

The terminal is getting closer. The continuation of the queue can be seen behind the windows. Looks bad, but somehow it went relatively quickly because of the constant movement.

Tents have been set up so that you don't have to wait in the open air. Unfortunately the queue is longer.

Best Western Schiphol Airport

There is a bunch of hotels around Schiphol Airport that seem to be located in the middle of nowhere. Got accomodated by KLM in the Best Western Schiphol Airport after missing the connecting flight to Oslo in the course of the delayed arrival of the inbound flight from Bremen to Amsterdam. At least the hotel had a fancy bedroom decoration.

I had a total of eight domestic flights in Norway so far (more to come soon): from Oslo to Bergen, Trondheim, Bodø and Tromsø as well as back to Oslo each time. These flights make it possible to cover a distance that would take much longer there with other means of transport.

The Lounge, Bremen Airport.
Next time I'll position the camera further down so that the sausage looks even bigger.

The Lounge, Bremen Airport.
I have no idea why the potato salad was packaged in small bowls but the pasta salad was not.

The adventure continues

For the next day (April 24th) I was mentally prepared to take the train from Amsterdam to Bremen after breakfast. Early in the morning, KLM sent me a rebooking for the morning flight the following day (April 25). I said to myself: that's the way it is. I extended my hotel stay by one night and drove to Schiphol for plane spotting on the visitors' terrace. On April 25th I flew to Bremen. My suitcase checked in at Tallinn airport was not on the flight and was delivered to my home two days later.
An evening in Amsterdam
Visiting Amsterdam - unplanned

On April 23rd I flew from Tallinn to Amsterdam in the morning, spent the day in Rotterdam and wanted to fly from Amsterdam to Bremen in the evening. Due to an unannounced strike by KLM's baggage handlers, KLM's flight operations largely came to a standstill that day. My flight to Bremen was canceled in the afternoon. After KLM could not provide any hotel rooms and in many hotels where there were still rooms, sometimes astronomical
prices were called, I found a room for EUR 98 at Motel One Amsterdam.
