Le Dingo a tout l'air d'un chien : sa carrure, son museau, son pelage.
Iil n'aboie pas, mais il éternue pour se défendre !

Connu comme le 'chien sauvage d'Australie', le dingo serait l'un des plus vieux chiens du monde. Il peut être trouvé partout, sauf dans l'île de Tasmanie.

La fourrure des dingos est gingembre jaune, sable rouge ou jaune. Ils vivent seuls, en couples ou en petits groupes à proximité d’un puits naturel ou du bétail.

Dingoes were practically expelled from the territories occupied by the sheep industry, affecting large parts of southern Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. This situation was maintained by the construction of the Dingo Fence.

Effectivement, ce sujet n'a pas besoin de chasser pour se nourrir.
En liberté, l'espérance de vie d'un dingo excède rarement 7 ans ... alors qu'elle peut atteindre 10 à 14 ans en captivité.

Do you know, Diane, that it is illegal to have a dingo as a pet in South Australia, Queensland and Tasmania ? In Victoria and the Northern Territory you have to have a special permit to keep a dingo ...
