Il a donné aux Français l’amour du large. Au fil des traversées, le skippeur visionnaire n’a cessé d’inventer et de réinventer l’art de la navigation. La mer l’a pris le 13 juin 1998 alors qu’il s’offrait, à 66 ans, une nouvelle échappée sur le « Pen Duick», son premier bateau, son premier amour.
Eric Tabarly, a legend who died 25 years ago, his first boat, which is now piloted by his daughter.
He gave the French a love of the open sea. Throughout his crossings, this visionary skipper never stopped inventing and reinventing the art of sailing. The sea took him on 13 June 1998 when, at the age of 66, he offered himself a new escape on the "Pen Duick", his first boat, his first love.
