Travel and see new things. Or; look around and find new angles. The next uploads will be monochrome edits. Some will be new uploads and some will be reedited photographs. I hope that the comming monochrome 'period' will be received favorably. This is a photograph of the library in Tromsø and the RAW file is processed with PSE12. Telemark Serenity monochrome

Back to a winter landscape. The county Telemark is located in southeastern Norway, extending from Hardangervidda to the Skagerrak coast. The coastline extends from Langesundsfjorden to Gjernestangen at the border with Aust-Agder. Telemark has a very broken and heterogeneous landscape, including many hills and valleys.(Wikipedia) Lonely Man Photography © All Rights Reserved. Made it to EXPLORE frontpage.

The Church

This is one of my favorite monochrome edits from last summer. The church in Skien, Telemark. Just trying out ways of editing. Software: PSE12, PhotomatixEssentials, Silver Efex Pro. Lonely Man Photography © All Rights Reserved. Made it to EXPLORE frontpage.

Blue Mountain

Long time no see.. According to the title this should be a blue mountain. And it was... The monochrome edit, I hope, is interesting too. The clear light and the low clouds were a good combination that day. Enjoy this northern norwegian mountain impression. Software: PSE12, PhotomatixEssentials. Cabin

A clear spring day. That means, still knee deep snow here in the north. A trip to 'Folkeparken' resulted in a few nice colourful pictures. This little part of the park deserved however a B&W edit. FjordScape (Stone)

A typical view of a fjord landscape in northern Norway. The original edit was in sepia but B&W works too, I now think . You will find the high resolution image here: 1x.com/photo/626009 www.facebook.com/peter.vanlom Lonely Man Photography © All Rights Reserved. Made it to EXPLORE frontpage.

Vastness

I finally decided to give Ipernity a chance. For a long time I was not sure. After the closing down of Panoramio I did not want to waste time and effort. But ok, here I am again with a winterly scene in monochrome. Not really fine photo- technical quality. However this picture represents a bit of northern Norwegian nature. The vastness of nature makes man almost disappear. But can you imagine what a blast these guys have... Decay into Emptiness

This is a typical view on the tundra (vidda) in the nordic countries. Snow fences in need of some maintenance. The monochrome edit makes the atmosphere fitting to the lonely feeling one can get here. The climate in the winter can be quite fierce This picture is taken near the border of Norway and Finland. Vardø Street Art

In july 2012, Vardø hosted the world's most northern street art festival, curated by the artist Pøbel - KOMAFEST -. The purpose was to conceptualize the depopulation of northern Norway. Three years later I tried to capture this art. At least most of the work. Some were already painted over and some I just did not find.
