Galearis rotundifolia
This is a wild orchid that can carpet the ground in areas where it is found. Once known as Amerorchis, it is now classified as Galeraris, the Small Round-leaf Orchid. These and the flowers in the insets were photographed in Kootenay National Park in British Columbia on 2014 trip there.

Thank you so much for the visit to my dahlia pictures! Glad you liked them...I feel a tad plain whenever I'm around those show-stoppers! :D
It's hard to believe we're only a couple of weeks off from taking our RV for a couple of days out on the road...doesn't seem real. Not believing it until we wake up somewhere else! But things are coming along for sure and we're getting excited. Getting harder to deny that it's real...
I loved reading about the flower discoveries, the first few are so exhilarating, aren't they? I'm madly envious that you have grass widows on your property! But then, we have Henderson's Fawn Lilies, so there! :D (Neener neener?! :D)
I think it's really cool that you make nest boxes for the bluebirds...and then you have to close them up so other birds don't take them over! Wow!
BTW, the jays and woodpeckers, pewees and juncos are all enjoying the suet I made! In fact, the jays are just plain PIGGY BIRDS! They fly in and just WOLF it down! I'll put a cake out and by the end of the day it's GONE! OINK OINK OINK! But you know it makes us glow with joy because that suet is feeding chicks and it couldn't make us any happier to imagine the little cutie pies stuffing their crops on food I made for them! :)
Very interesting to read about your $27/mo data plan, how cool is that! Even tethered, SWEET! Problem is that their coverage around here is sucktastic at best. We learned that the next level of phone speed should be rolling out in the next couple of years and this may just do in the cable companies. Don't get us started on our internet service. *shakes head in annoyance*
Ok, off I go! Have a lovely evening/morning/afternoon!! :)
Have a nice weekend.
Thank you for the notes.
Enjoy a great weekend.
