Thimbleberry Blossom

Thimbleberry is Rubus parviflorus, a common plant here in the Pacific Northwest. The edible berries look like a flat Raspberry and taste somewhat the same also. It is also sometimes called Snow Bramble or Salmonberry, but the true Salmonberry has pink flowers. This was photographed, if I remember, along the Dog Mountain trail in the Columbia River gorge.
