The Toilets at Artist's Point
Artist's Point is at the end of the Mount Baker Highway and up above the Mount Baker Ski Area. There is a large parking area there with these toilets which were closed and nearly buried when I was up there on snowshoes a month ago. The road from the ski resort to Artist's Point is closed in the winter and the area with its views of Mount Baker, Mount Shuksan, Table Mountain, Mount Larrabee and the Border Peaks is accessible only on snowshoes or skis. It appears from the photo that someone was a bit desperate and was trying to climb in through the louvers on the peak, but perhaps they were just trying to see in. These toilets are now completely buried under 3-4 meters of snow and it is difficult to find even the place where they are located.
