Dendrobium Mountain Magic

Dendrobium Mountain Magic
Here's another Dendrobium, this time a hybrid of two species from New Guinea, the tiny Dendrobium cuthbertsonii and the cane-type, Dendrobium pseudoglomeratum. The result is a plant four to five inches (12 cm) tall, with dangling clusters of flowers. The second parent has flowers in clusters and this hybrid has beautifully inherited that trait. Dendrobium cuthbertsonii, however, has reduced the plant size and given it an upright growth habit.
