Drama? All we see here is a dachshund smelling something. Something? Let’s call it a cat. A cat in a tree. The real drama is the dachshund not knowing where the smell comes from, and not being able to reach its source if he knew.

Robbie's getting old: he hardly hears anything, and doesn't see much. He has to rely almost completely upon his sense of smell. So yes, he'd probably do as well as a regular pig in finding truffles (though probably they aren't to find in our neighborhood).
All he can do is to nose around and gather ticks.
