British needles and American snaps

British needles and American snaps
All needles in my old sewing notions were made in Britain. So was my seam-ripper. Sheffield, maybe? The worn out package on the left definitely has 1950s graphics.

M♥rJ Photogr♥phy !! ( Marj ), Ernest CH, Gudrun, Smiley Derleth and 2 other people have particularly liked this photo

I can't get plasters out of their packets, either - especially when it is urgent and blood is spurting everywhere. Is this a manual to explain how to do it? I would love to know. It says 'British' somewhere, so I presume not. But every time I go searching for the scissors to cut open the fiendishly sealed little blighters, I have left a trail of blood that takes 6 months to clear up!
I get the feeling that there MUST be a better of dealing with these bloody incidents!!
On second viewing, needles?

Haha - it's not any better with American Band-Aids! Drip, drip, drip, swearing, ripping with my teeth, drip, drip, swearing, dropping Band-Aid on the floor, swearing...

Yes, needles. You must have seen this before I added the info. Thank you, Andy!
