I saw several Shinto shrines in a short time, but the most memorable was the Zen Fushimi Inari-Taisha in Kyoto (photos in an album here). A Buddhist temple and Shinto shrine in Tokyo, but there I mostly wandered around in the crowds and ate stuff. ; )
