L'établissement est l'héritier de la culture des bains qui se développe en Allemagne à la fin du 19e siècle. Les bains municipaux, construits en 1908 par l'architecte Fritz Beblo, constituent alors l'un des fleurons de la politique sociale et hygiéniste de Strasbourg. Ils disposent de deux bassins de natation et sont accessibles à tous les habitants, quelle que soit leur catégorie sociale. L'établissement propose également de bains romains et des saunas richement décorés.

A beautiful looking building that seems to have stood the test of time very well. It's good to read it's still being used for its original purposes.
