This is just a small quibble, Skipper, to help you with your English. We would normally use 'south-westerly' for the wind that blows from that direction, and 'south-west' or 'south'western' for describing part of a country. Hence, south-west Sardinia or south-western Sardinia.

But maybe it is a south-westerly blowing in this photo, with these threatening storm clouds?

Ah! Languages are full of quibbles like that! I really didn't know this difference, thanks for telling me. No, it wasn't blowing a south-westerly but a north-westerly!
