Having climbed to the trig point just behind me, the next step is to walk the entire top ridge to the top of the hill on the far right corner via Hollin's Cross by the plantation (small woods) you see and then the normal goal of 'Lose Hill 476m' (notes) From there the real hiker heads down to the village of 'Hope'. We on the other hand only managed to get to the flat section below here before turning back to retrace our steps as the weather was closing in fast.
As can be seen, much of this path is now laid in stone to stop further erosion by the many hikers.
Enjoy full screen.

Herb Riddle club has replied to David G Johnson clubJust taken a look at that fort on my GE windows app and I see there is a new 'New Google web based GE' which is better than the old app but no way to copy locations. Progress ?
I hope you have a fine Easter weekend with family David and we wish your better half a speedy recovery. Herb

Beautifully composed, with great leading lines and a lovely sky!
I think getting off the top when the weather changed was a good call Herb.........very sensible of you.
I'm impressed that the path has been laid with stone............that must have been a difficult and arduous thing to achieve, but completely necessary for the future.
Herb Riddle club has replied to Keith Burton clubEnjoy this Easter weekend. Herb
