Inverness Castle

The red sandstone structure, displaying an early Castellated style, today was built in 1836 by architect William Burn, and Thomas Burn in 1837, together the two built what is today the courthouse and prison. I was thinking how good this complete castle looked, then I saw that it was built in 1836. It looks much older. Two good PiP's Herb. It's a shame that when there is a march in England, showing the flag, it is always assumed it is racist....unfortunately, sometimes it is.
All the best, Rosa.

Hi Rosa. Yes, it is far newer than one supposes at first glance. Although its still quite old at 184 years. Quite right re the march too but it was nice and colourful, well behaved and I heard local bagpipe music in this too.
