Valletta street scene

Valletta street scene
This old town sits upon a hill and so there are many streets such as this, making wandering about an arduous process at times. However the reward with such scenes present are evident.

More of a plateau really Daniela. At least when you try to get to the old town centre from sea-level which is all steep up-hill, as can be seen from this photo, but once up that 100-200m I suppose its quite flat really. I think this pattern applies for most of the Island. A steep rise from sea-level to a big plateau with some small hills. No Italian style Alps or Dolomite's though :)
