"Crooked clock"

Banja Luka, or Banjaluka, is the administrative center of Republika Srpska and its largest city. A "crooked clock" has been set up on Banja Luka's Krajina Square, with the hands forever set at 9 hours and 11 minutes to commemorate October 27, 1969, when Banja Luka was hit by the strongest earthquake in its history. This big earthquake was preceded by a small earthquake on October 26 of the same year, and the decision of the then authorities of Banja Luka, that children do not go to school and workers go to work, saved a large number of lives, because the next day the city was hit by a much stronger and more devastating earthquake. I personally experienced the whole series of these earthquakes.

Beograd, Skadarlija

20 Oct 2014 39 22 724
Skadarlija is a bohemian quarter in the center of Belgrade (Skadarska ulica). Every day about 20,000 people visit Skadarlija. Due to the proximity of the National Theater, there were many actors who lived in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Other actors, poets, writers, painters came to act with actors.Because of this, many taverns, some of the oldest in Belgrade, were nicknamed in Skadarlija. It was here that dawn was welcomed by artists who entered the history of Serbian culture. HBM!
