I was Here, I have the photos to prove it.

I was Here, I have the photos to prove it.
One of the things I have never understood enjoy the landscape why ruin it. I took the shot as they posed for the phone. A phone with 10,000 photos of them over the landscape.

buonacoppi, Marco F. Delminho, trester88, cammino and 12 other people have particularly liked this photo

Ah Steve, the way to improve this kind of shot is to hold the phone yourself on a selfie stick - get in close to the lens and block out more of that landscape. :-) HFF and have a great weekend.

We toured Australia in 2013 and saw this scene on the beach one day. It was the first time we encountered such a selfie stick. This picture was taken on the Great Ocean road, all the way we met this group every time we stopped at a bay to take pictures and enjoy the view.:

Cheeeeese .....

HFF, have a fine WE, be careful and stay safe

Yes that is one of the things of today. Millions of selfies of you and the landscape both. In the old days there was hardly a photo of either. Even I am taking more and more photos with the phone, held out to capture both of us, as we are never in the same photos. That being said, I am also using the phone to capture scenes when I don't have my big weighty camera too. The days of tiny 180x180p blurred pictures have thankfully passed and modern phones take many comparably technically photos as good as lots of 'real' camera's. Getting a picture of yourself and the landscape in one, demonstrates where you were when the photo was taken and so is well worth taking too.

HFF, enjoy the weekend. Herb

I agree with you Herb but the people who Only use phone camera's don't at all appreciate the surrounds. I have watched hundreds who just get to a place and take a photo of them selves never even looking at the surrounds. You are looking at two of them all done in 30 seconds the longest part was trying to find some one to take the photo.

HFF you keep safe and do enjoy the weekend.

HFF, Steve!

This is a real tragic one:

A couple from Poland fell to their deaths while taking selfies in Portugal in front of their two children. The accident happened on Saturday at the 140-meter-high rocky cape Cabo de Roca on the Atlantic Ocean about 40 kilometers west of Lisbon.

According to the findings so far, the 31-year-old parents had climbed over the safety barrier at the westernmost point of mainland Europe to take better pictures at the cliff edge. While trying to take a self-portrait of themselves, the couple, who have lived in Portugal for many years, fell about 80 meters.

A Civil Defense spokesman said a vacationing couple from Spain saw the accident, took care of the children and immediately alerted authorities. During a large rescue operation, the bodies had already been spotted in a gorge on Saturday. Due to bad weather, however, the bodies could not be recovered until Sunday.

The six-year-old girl and the five-year-old boy would receive psychological care and should soon be placed in the care of relatives in Poland, said a report in the newspaper Público.

Well captured Steve. It looks like the view would have been worth them enjoying too. I don't understand this trend either, - the posing and pouting into the camera is totally alien to me - I generally run a mile if a camera is remotely pointed in my direction!!

HFF and a good weekend to you
