Gascoyne River

This is very exotic and interesting to me. Here there are definitely not so extreme changes of weather conditions.

This river flows only 120 days on a good year. I just cant imagine what its like to see this with 7m of water the noise must be staggering. at this time of year there is still a little flow well below the sand level. In Carnarvon itself they have bores and pumps out in the middle of the sand which must be removed before the floods. If i said it was 14m between uprights makes the river 98m wide that is a lot of water...
