A new year and a Whole lot of learning
It was always one of my wishes to get a tracker. So this year it all starts again Sky Adventurer 5 Kg load so i hope to use my 150-600mm as well as 70- 200mm and my 105mm.

No as we dont get the eclipse out of view for us. I want to start with a few easy ones LMC & SMC and Orion.I am waiting for the moon to pass out of my view though to get a clear shot. All the very best to you for the weekend.

George I have a page of set up written out but dead keen to have a go but will stars with some thing not so large as this. moons killing me at the moment but I am ready I have made a custom bag to carry the gear in foam for protection.

So the full monty on display here Steve, That camera looks very high from the top of the middle tripod but I imagine it is meant to work like that. Will be an even better picture when you have the counter-weights on here too. As for close ups of the stars and nebulae, as all these above me here, I look forward to seeing the results which will surely come. Have fun. ~ Herb

That's the biggest thing I dont like but you are right its designed that way so you can see why I went for the lower head. I hope it delivers what i hope but I already know its a case of learning all over again. It will be fun on that you can bet.
