Just a fence nothing else, there is no building any where near it.

Steve when you consider I am at the end of the wooden fence and all around is nothing but bush, no fence? when you go through the gate as you can see it had a few steps there is nothing down there but bush. its seen better days alright with the fire. HFF from down under.

A good split log fence, it looks as if it was fortunate to survive the fire that's gone through at some time. HFF, Steve.

Sure is quite lucky I can only think as low heat flash fire but not some thing you would expect to find way out in the bush. HFF from the west.

Well I've seen it all now - you have gone out to take a fence picture for fence pictures sake and our HFF group of course. It had to happen in the end, I hope it was not too painful my friend.- Its a great little fence and gate and the trees, despite fires and droughts seem to be flourishing. Great job!

HFF, Have a great weekend, Herb

Herb I hope you read some of the comments above so you kind of understand why I took this. Never seen any thing like it two fences and a gate way out in the bush not another fence in sight. sure has had a tough time of surviving the Australian bush. HFF and enjoy your break and fences.

Hi Steve

Really nice picture, and interesting find.
Maybe the little cross on the gate is a clue..

I have come across this kind of thing in England, and it marks an old burial place, or where several people have met a gruesome end...
Did you see any birds flying over the site?

The path looks well used, so perhaps not so far from civilisation, (or is it the footsteps of the dead?)

Best Wishes, HFF, and a good weekend.

Terrific capture Steve although the nice gate looks out of sync with the beautiful rustic fences.

I must confess this place caught my eye as we drove along the road just this and bush for miles around no other fence in sight. I am going to have to make a trip out to see if you are right a bush grave cause I agree a lot of foot traffic but to what.

to this stay tuned.

HFF and all the best from down under.
