Oh WOW!!! That's incredible! And aren't they all just beautiful! I don't believe I've ever seen these except in pictures. Aren't you lucky--and thanks for sharing with us! You know, the past few days we've had swarms of Starlings landing in our meadow and then flying off again--never have we seen so many at one time! And yet, unlike your darling geese, the lovely Starlings are all parasites...you probably know that parent birds go to other species' nests, push the eggs out of the nest and lay theirs, to be raised by the unknowing birds. It's a despicable act and makes me so angry but that is nature. Part of why I get so upset is that I think Starlings are such beautiful birds...why do they have to be such jerks?! :(
