Small holiday of two days in Livigno and St. Moritz end of June.
The Bernina red train leaves from Tirano at 429 meters above sea level and with a route of about 60 km crosses all the vegetation strips of the Alps. It reaches the 2253 metres of the Bernina Pass (Ospizio Bernina stop) and descends more gradually and gently to the approximately 1800 metres of St. Moritz. It is the only train in Europe that climbs the mountain freewheeling without a rack and pinion, narrow gauge. It became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008 .We made the journey in reverse. By bus to St. Moritz and then by train back to Tirano.
