C'est la montagne en haut où je vis, Pierre. En hiver il y a la neige, ici, et des pistes de sky.En bas d'ici on voit la vallée. Val d'Ossola. .

Ein schöner Blick ins schöne Tal von Domodossola (klingt ausgesprochen angenehm dieser Ortsname!)

Der Name kommt von der Ossola Tal, Val d'Ossola, Volker.

Also da gibts den Fluss Ossola, und der Ortsname bedeutet dann das "Haus/ Heim der Ossola"
so etwa nach meinen lückenhaften Lateinkenntnissen :-)

Nein , der Fluss heisst Toce und ist nicht so lang, nur bis zum Lago Maggiore.Der Name ist vom Tal, es gibt auch viele andere Orte die mit Ossola enden, Villadossola, Crevoladossola.

Bella passeggiata vero? dal caldo giù al fresco su!

Bè, passeggiata non direi, Enzo anche se una volta , quando ero ragazzina, era uso andarci a piedi al 1°maggio.Allora c'erano solo le mulattiere.Ora c'è la strada fino in cima, poi ci sono le piste da sci e pure qualche seconda casa e ristorante.E anche la zona picnic. Erano anni che non ci andavo, c'è tutta una zona pic-nic con i barbecue, come in America. Me la sono goduta proprio. Ho fatto un giro da sola a piedi, mentre i miei riposavano all'ombra e ho fatto qualche foto. E sono già passati tre anni!

It all looks so pretty, Dany. I'd love to go walking here, but maybe it's too steep. Do you have any snow yet? It's unseasonably mild in England at the moment, and I don't think we will get any snow this winter. I used to love seeing it all in Norway.

Yes, Amelia , it's a nice place and there is enough space where to walk. In Winter there is snow here, as there are sky pistes. But here is not so high,about 1500 mt so not always you have snow. Not yet, this year, as I can see from here. Pistes are still closed. There is snow on other higher mountains here around, but not in Domodossola, we are only about 250 mt. I find this year being colder, in the morning you see a lot of frost on the cars and where the sun never arrives in this season.But anything is possible, next. Hugs to you,Dany
