Horsemint (Monarda punctata)
Great news: The Seven Ponds nature center in Michigan responded to my Facebook message about this plant. The crew will dig it up and transplant it in a more secluded spot. The plan is to cover the field with plastic to kill the invasive crown vetch where this Horsemint volunteer plant is currently located. I am grateful for their concern and help.

Doerthe club has replied to neira-Dan clubI was surprised to find this plant in this location, because I have never seen it in this park before, even though I have walked along every one of the trails for six years.
