Migration has started

This morning we noticed an influx of the number of Goldfinches in our yard. During the winter months we have had about a dozen of birds at our feeders. Today there are at least three dozen here and I have had to fill up all feeders again. The feeders were full yesterday, but empty this morning.

It will take another couple of weeks before the Goldfinch males start turning yellow. I just found a photo from last year with one finch that had started to change color. The date of the photo was March 27th.
