IN FLORIDA, WE HAD A QUEEN OF THE NIGHT CACTUS - IT BLOOMED AT 10PM - I WOULD BE OUT WITH CAMER AND FLASHLIGHT - YEARLY.

AFTER THE 1ST YEAR, MY NEIGHBOR SAID --"OH, LAST NIGHT SHE BLOOMED?"

HAD NO IDEA HER BEDROOM WAS ON THAT SIDE OF THE HOUSE!

OUR PLANT BLOOMED OVER A SERIES OF NIGHTS - BUT ONLY A FEW AT TIME...AND ALWAYS 10 PM.

Thanks for the comment, Peggy. This plant has bloomed almost every year, but only for one night. If you miss the signs of impending bloom, you see only a drooping, spent flower.

Amazing...............you have to wonder why it only flowers in that way! It's really beautiful though and you've captured it very well Ronald.

We've had this for quite a few years. I suppose it is hoping for some pollinator that we don't have here. I haven't figured out its schedule.

That seems like a possible reason Ronald...........you'll have to find it a partner :-))
