I really don't know, Andy. I rarely see them, despite living in Mississippi. According to the Audubon Society (https://www.audubon.org/field-guide/bird/mississippi-kite), they don't even live here in eastern Mississippi.

I thought the Audubon Society (which sounds as if is very august indeed!) would know something like this. Perhaps they are a few decades out of date. Perhaps climate change is altering previously held assumptions and certainties!
