Yes, it was. I had seen this one and its partner swimming on my pond a few weeks ago, but this one made a noise while I was walking through the forest. I assume it has a nest in a tree hole, but I haven't found it yet. Thanks for the visit and comment, UdoSm.

Yes, this is a female. I saw a pair of them on my pond a few weeks ago. I suppose this is one of them.
