Hardly see any Turkey Vultures anymore in piedmont mid-Maryland; seems like Black Vultures have driven them out in the last 30 years or so.

Interesting observation. Here in Mississippi, the vultures are seasonal. Turkey vultures are here mostly in the winter. Black vultures are here all year long. There is always plenty of dead animals for all of them to eat. This one and several of its pals were eating a dead turtle.
