Water tower construction

Water tower construction
The central concrete tower was poured in many layers over several months. The steel cylinder and cone (which will be the tank to hold water) was welded together from plates while sitting on the ground surrounding the tower. Today, The tank is being hoisted to the top of the tower.

That's going to be some heavy weight once full of water, so where is the water being supplied from? A future problem the world is waking up to that though there seems to be plenty of fresh water for some but not for all, demand is greater now than ever before.

Good questions, Maurice. Almost all the water here comes from water pumped from wells, which I suppose is ultimately supplied by rain. As long as it rains enough to keep up with usage, we're okay. Who knows about the future?
