Just yesterday we were watching a program on Tenerife, where a veterinarian had caught an Anole that must have been brought there by people. They are not native to the island and he says they could pose a threat to other animals there. He suspects that more may be in the same area.

I can easily imagine anoles hiding in somebody's luggage or some part of an airplane. They can squeeze into such tiny places.
