There is a pond not too far from here ... one of the Newspaper photogs drove by and got a photo of one duck swimming - 1 walking on the ice ..
They are never there when I drive by ..

When I arrived in early morning, the herons were at the other end of the pond. I nearly froze my fingers waiting for them to fly nearer.
