We have snow to the north, east and south but the little Furness peninsula remain free from the white stuff and even the frost. There is nothing west of us until the Isle of Man.We had rain and hail showers which are still continuing but unless the weather front does and about turn we look to be OK.
A local news flash:: Police and the bomb disposal squad are on Walney bridge. More as that unfolds, the bridge is our only way onto the mainland apart from by small boat and it would be a brave soul who venture onto the channel in the weather.
