updates of odds and ends
A quick update of life on the north west coast. The weather is still holding out apart from a couple of showery days on Monday and Tuesday. Unfortunately this slowed my grass cutting down. I cut and strimmed the front on Sunday but haven't been able to get to the back until 3:30 today. That is now all cut and strimmed, only another month or so and I can prepare the gardening tools for winter storage. The only one that needs and work doing is the mower which will need it's steel mesh air filter soaking in paraffin overnight.Apart from that for the rest it's just a general clean up and a film of WD40 on the cutting edges.
I also have updates on Ellen. After her birthday on Monday she decided on a short camping trip up the Eskdale valley. She left Tuesday morning and is back tomorrow night. It is a good place for her with her busy workload. She can unwind and she is really enjoying life under canvas. She is also enjoying the fact that there is no WI-FI connections so she is not constantly on the phone. I thought she would find this hard but just the opposite in fact, she loves it.
Latest on the hedgehog. A couple asked about a name for him, well Ellen with complete lack of imagination has named him Harry Hedgehog,as he doesn't answer to anything, I don't call him anything. We have a silent relationship,I feed him he eats it.
I was also asked about winter quarters for him. As he first appeared late last summer I imagine he already has somewhere. The bottom of the garden where he seems to come from is a thicket of gooseberry bushes with the deadly thorns so that would give him perfect protection ,although he has no enemies here. The cats have both got over their fear and approach him every night now, they sit and watch him for a while but soon get bored and zoom off on an adventure.
Time to stoke up for me, bacon and egg butties sound good. Catch up later.

Yes I think many people are happy to be "Cell-phone free" now and again.
Good if Harry has a place he used last year he'll most likely use it again.
Sometimes a silent relationship is a good thing ;)
Bacon buttie does sound good - never enjoyed the egg in it so leave mine out please lol
