The day dawned lovely and warm and by lunchtime we had 25c 77f in the garden.
I have rested up well since my slight back problem and decided to tackle the grass. I only mowed the back meaning to leave the strimming for tomorrow and the front until Friday. After a good rest and a brew I was still nice and loose so attacked the rest with the strimmer. Strimming isn't kind to me the machine is very low,the ideal height for any user will be around 5' 6'' or 7'' which means I am stooped over. So I did it in 2 stages and am pleased to report my back showed no signs of rebellion.
With the garden rubbish bin emptied I manged to get the rest of the blackcurrant bush trimmings stowed away and there are only 4 gooseberry bushes and the buddleia left to do another day.
While things were going well I made a modification to the little vice I bought,or rather to the bench it clamps to the edge of which is chambered. I made a few saw cuts and knocked a piece out with a chisel and now the vice fits flush.

All in all a good day and the chicken in the slow cooker smells very appetising.
