I awoke around 7 with no sign of cats on their normal morning visit when they hear me stirring.
With them off on an adventure I had a nice leisurely shower without a feline audience.
Once downstairs I filled the kettle and sorted the bird feeders out before toasting a couple of crumpets for brekkie and watched the starlings having their normal free or all over the fat balls.
At this point I was trying to remember what I had planned for this morning but nothing came to mind. I went out and collected four of the planks I knocked off the shed side yesterday evening
and stored them in my little tool room for sawing up later.
I checked my shopping list and saw I wanted eggs, milk and beans. A quick trip to Mac's and that would be sorted. The cats finally appeared looking for their breakfast so I sorted them before heading for the shop.
When I got to the corner I decided on a detour and walked up to the beach to do the two mile round trip to the shop via the golf course. That is when I bumped into my old friend Sconnie. He is a larger than life character with a shock of ginger hair and a beard to match. He has a big booming voice and always sounds excited, just the opposite to my quiet laid back approach to vocal communication. I managed to prise myself free after half an hour or so and continued on my way.
It was half way along the beach when I remembered what I was going to do this morning, have a wander over to Aldi, bugger it was too late by then to contemplate town and the shopping throng.
So I'm back home with a little wood to saw up and that is my work done apart from dinner to make.
Today it will be sausage and bacon bake with beans, tomatoes and a few herbs with cheese melted over the top, simple to make but very tasty.
THis jet set lifestyle is very tiring don't you find?
Right I'm off to make some sawdust, catch you later
