First the good re the shift around
Getting thereI have almost finished shifting stuff around. I have taken the tatty
computer chair away and put my comfy Queen Ann in it's place. There are a couple of reasons for this. Firstly sat where it was I had to get up and go to the other side of the room if I wanted to be on the computer, then go back again because I had the wrong goggles on,secondly it is much more comfortable, I have never found a comfy computer chair. This meant re-arranging things because the Queen Ann chair is heavy I needed a way to watch TV from where I put the chair. That job solved I found the chair a tad low so had an idea. The seat off the computer chair fits snuggly under the cushion giving me the height required without losing the comfort.
The room certainly doesn't have a feminine touch but I know where
everything is and the things I use most are close to hand.I used mugs I don't use for drinking to keep the odds and sods I need in.
The desk pigeon hole unit I put in the kitchen to tidy the table up
and the rack from there is now in the hallway as a shoe and boot rack.
Now I can see the TV answer the phone and be on the computer in a comfy chair plus I have my leg rest underneath and a slide with the foot brings it forward to use or backwards so I can put my feet on the floor. MAGIC!
I have my little table beside me and my massage chair can be used without it needing an extension lead.
Another bonus is the computer chair back will make a great garden kneeler with the arms left on.
Now for the bad news. While I was in the middle of this upheaval I heard a bang and a tinkling of glass,it crossed my mind that somebody had a window blown out.It was only later I discovered it was my bathroom window. Bugger!!!
I am no good on ladders especially carrying glass so I called for Allan he wasn't in but luckily he was at my other neighbour John's sorting a door out for his little shed. So I mosied over for a chat. He also heard the noise but didn't know where it was coming from.Allan is a hoarder and there was just a chance he would have a piece of glass lying around. He didn't but what he did does have is heavy duty clear perspex, perfect for the job. So when the wind dies down he is going to sort that for me.It is great to live in an area where
everybody mucks in and helps.
All that needs to be done in here is a good vacuuming and the jobs done. But first I deserve a brew,it might even be alchoholic. I'll catch up later

The room looks good, much tidier.
You have good neighbours Mick.
Great idea with the chair back, good for the knees and helpful when getting up from the work in hand.
Enjoy you Beverage whatever it ends up as being.
