A sad day

I skipped breakfast this morning there is nothing to watch as from today.
I have removed my bird feeders from the garden,the cats caught another 2 yesterday.It is heartbreaking to watch.It is no good me attracting the birds for them to kill.
It's useless getting angry with the cats they are only doing what cats do and the fledglings will have all flown in a week or so and hopefully their killing spree will end with it at least until the grass in their playground starts to develop seeds then it will be the turn of the mice to face them and I can't do anything about that.
Back sometime later when the mood lifts

Yes Mickey, all we can do is stop putting food out for the birds, it actually matters very little as there are now plenty of insects and the early flowering plants have seeds.
Most people keep Cats to hold control over the mice and rats which none of us want indoors.
It is a dull wet day over here so nothing to click at.

Well MIck it's temporary at least. Eventually Ellen will get her own flat again and the cats will go with her. Then you can go back to life as normal. In the meantime at least there's butterflys and pretty skies to watch...

yes there are butterflys and bees and nice flowers but they don't sit on my wall singing for their breakfast

Yes it is a sad time when the cats do what's natural to them, but it's still hurtful to a bird lover like you. As you say - in about a week's time the fledglings should have fled the nest and there won't be so many for the cats to kill.
