I looked around the garden yesterday and decided another dry day and a start was on the cards. The grass could have it's first cut and I could start tackling the weeds.
This morning I awoke to rain of course so that job is on hold before it even starts.
Later in the month I will have a lodger,my daughter Ellen is finally breaking up with her partner and cannot afford to keep up the rental payments on her place. This means she will be with me until she can bank enough to get a smaller place of her own which may be as long as 12 months.
Having Ellen who will be at work all day is no problem but she brings with her two young cats. This has serious implications on the bird life in my garden. I cannot have the bird feeders and baths out for the little fellas just for them to fall victims to the cats so I will have to get rid of them. This makes me very sad, my days watching the birds flocking to feed will came to an end.
Before all this happens I have a lot of work to do to get Ellen shoehorned in. The spare room that was this year project to make into a guest room is chocka block with stuff I need to find places to put, places I don't have, wish me luck.
Time for lunch and then I'll start work
Fact of the day
The brain cannot feel pain, even if you stick a knife in it.
How did they discover that?

Brain pain. I guess some idiot tried to see what would happen. LOL
It will be nice to have company for a while. It's going to take some adjusting for sure. At least the first couple months may be a bit annoying. Regardless of how much you love your daughter. Mine moved back with me for 6 months after her engagement ended. It was fine but it took some adjusting on both our parts. And the stuff needed for storage? May I suggest using a few of those large plastic containers? They are reasonably inexpensive, stack well and seal out moisture and damp fairly well. So they could go in a basement, garage or even shed for a bit. Just a thought.
