Today wasn't all daydreaming about names that amused me. I decided on a pasta bake for lunch something I like but don't make often enough.
I put some pasta on to boil and in the meantime cut some bacon into strips and stir fried them.Setting them aside I threw some sliced onions in the wok followed by chopped garlic. I took them out while the onions had just a little crispiness left.
With the pasta nearly done I made up a cheese sauce and added it to the pan. Then I put the bacon, onion and garlic into an oval Pyrex dish, poured on the pasta and sprinkled with a little mixed herbs. I grated some double Gloucester cheese on top and put it in a hot oven at 180c until the cheese melted. An easy lunch and very tasty.
I'm not big on poncing food up to look good ,this gets eaten straight out of the dish, saves washing up as well.
