We have had flurries of snow again today, not lots just enough for me to curtail my walk and head back to the cabin. I only got 1 mile in today, maybe tomorrow I'll have more luck.
I decided on poached eggs on toast for lunch, after a bowl of Mushroom soup which went down well with bread. As I was taking two eggs to the pan one slipped, now juggling eggs is not my strong suit especially as one hand was already holding one. I missed the egg brought my knee up in a reflex action and neatly cracked the egg on my trousers. From there it slid ever so gracefully down my shin and on to the floor. Broken egg and carpet tiles are not happy bed fellows and the egg took some removing. Reminder to self, bring egg carton to work top in future.
That was the only excitement in a cold dreary day otherwise it has just been a pottering about day. I have just chopped some veg up added onions, garlic and a shake or two of mixed herbs a grating or two of nutmeg and some white pepper,I don't use salt. Now it is in the slow cooker, low setting ready to be turned on. I will do that before bedtime and awaken to the welcoming aroma of home made soup. Have fun folks

I've also had a few flakes but nothing to write home about, Temperatures between - 4 and - 11 C prevail.
Have a nice day. John.
