The house is all quiet now,I am all prepared for the family tomorrow. Ellen and Will for dinner then Stephen and the kids will join us later for some nibbles and beer.
The weather has been wet and windy as it has for most of the year but tomorrow things pick up with little wind and dry days for a week or so.
The weather has been the main feature of the year in the UK and was the wettest on record. The Olympic games cheered everybody up for a while and was blessed by a rare dry spell.
Political turmoil has been worse than ever this year with the banks screwing us yet again and the Government powerless to act, well maybe not powerless more like we don't give a stuff we're rich, the rest of you can pay as always.
We now have food banks where people who have it can donate food for those that haven't Shame on you politicians and bankers, you are taking the country I love and pushing to hell in a handcart.
On the home front the family have all been well and that's the main thing. I am looking forward to a much brighter year on the weather front and then maybe I can get my wild flower garden up and running again as well as a vegetable patch Getting out for more long walks is my big hope. This year has been one of little proper walking for me and I do miss that.
I am also posting this on Facebook for my old 360 and Multiply friends I do miss you all.
If you have wishes and hopes or the year ahead I hope they all come to pass. Look after each other people.
I'll leave you with a big hug for all the ladies and a firm handshake for the men. I hope your God looks after you all.
Tonight I will raise a glass to absent friends
