Late last night while waiting for Jenny to call I noticed the garden and front street were white with what I thought was snow but thankfully it turned out to be hail. This morning I awoke to rain and it hasn't stopped since, the birds have been absent no doubt hunkered down and the garden is flooded yet again. As I was going to be cabined up and a north westerly was howling I decided a pan of soup was a good idea and settled for chicken and noodles, easy to do and just the ticket for this weather.
Other than that I haven't done a lot but I did watch a brilliant programme on the BT downloads from The Human planet series. It was about rivers, not the idle easy flowing things but dangerous monsters which were very scary just to look at. The people who live beside these raging torrents are at risk daily just to feed their families,it makes our little weather problems seem very insignificant. If you get a chance I recommend you watch it.
I watched a couple of games this afternoon just to pass the time but there is a downside to sitting around for too long,it makes me peckish and for the wrong sort of food. I wonder if that goes back to the old days at the cinema where a box of popcorn was all part of the show.? well it was for me anyway. Shopping to do tomorrow if the rain lets up if not it will be another lazy day eating too much.
Catch you soon

Speak later - don't be surprised if I ring at 10pm. I can't reach the clock above the mantlepiece and so it's an hour early!!!! LOL
Yes, we also had some hail, followed by sleet then snow then it froze.
I saw snow ploughs digging through several feet of snow in southern France on TV news today, lots in Poland and Germany too.
You should have used my Chicken Noodle recipe by the way.
