Today I spotted a blast from the past. A 1965 Ford Cortina in mint condition. The Cortina was built between 1962 and the 1980s from Mk1 up to Mk5. In the 70s it was the best selling car in the UK.
This version is the Mk1 facelift version. It's in good nick for 50 years old don't you think?
The rest of the trip to Aldi was pleasant enough and the shopping went smoothly. I was getting a little worried approaching the check out. I had £35 and was doing rough mental arithmetic as I went along, luckily I ran it close but on the right side at £32:61. That saved me flashing the card.
So with two large bags and a backpack bulging I set off for home and was feeling the strain of around 40lbs of shopping by the time I got here. Not a great weight but a fairly long walk and the weather was muggy.
We now have enough dead meat and most food essentials for a couple of weeks with yesterday's and today's shopping together
Thank you

Good to know your inbuilt calculator works well.
That load would just get through on an airline check where the max is 22 Kg.
Dry and windy with passing clouds at about 20 C here.
Keep fit.
