The weather Gods have smiled on us today, with wall to wall sun and very little wind it was a perfect day for the garden.
First job was to mow and strim the front grass and this was done and dusted by 9:30 a good start.
I decided on a break before tackling the back so a coffee and a couple of choccy biscuits later I was ready for action. I mowed the large part of the back then moved all of the plant pots and planters apart from the two largest ones. Now all the work I put in with the strimmer these last few weeks paid dividends. Not only could I get the mower on this patch but also on the other side where the fruit bushes are. This only left me to strim around the edges and the job was done and all before noon.
Mowing is much kinder on my back, strimming is hard work for me and potentially painful.
Pleased with the mornings work I cleaned and stowed the tools, took a garden seat out and made myself some lunch to enjoy in the sunshine. Sporting my straw hat, sports shit, new ¾ length trousers and new sandals I decided an afternoon reading between munching and preparing dinner was the way the afternoon would go and it did. The only thing left to do now is water the plants when the sun goes off them, until then back to the book,I'll catch up later.
The new baby arrives home as the sun shines brightly.

A good day here too Mickey
Enjoy whatever you do later.
I find the strimmer hard work too, though that's because I find it difficult to keep holding the lever.
