Valleri
The Pineapple Heard (Ed Wool and the Nomads) from upstate New York were the first group to issue "Valleri" (Tommy Boyce - Bobby Hart) as a single when it was released somewhere between the original televised version of the Monkees television show in 1966 and the actual Monkees 1968 hit.
Boyce and Hart produced the original for The Monkees television show in 1966 and it was reproduced in 1968 with the brass section and peaked at number three in 1968. This is from the album "The Birds, The Bees and The Monkees". The original television show take can be found on Rhino release "The Monkees: Missing Links, Volume Two.
