Apparently this song was pitched to Air Supply but it was turned down when the composers refused to change the lyric. In 1983 Laura Branigan issued the album "Branigan 2" and the single "How Am I Supposed To Live Without You" (Doug James - Michael Bolton). This peaked at number twelve on the pop chart and topped the Adult Contemporary listing. This was Michael Bolton's (Bolotin) first chart entry as a songwriter.
