The Reverend Al Green (Greene) 1972 album "Let's Stay Together" (Willie Mitchell - Al Green - Al Jackson Jr.) contains the Willie Mitchell produced 1971 single of the same name. This topped the Top One Hundred and R&B charts. In 1976 Al was ordained pastor of the Full Gospel Tabernacle in Memphis.
Tina (Anna Mae) Turner's top thirty cover of "Let's Stay Together" was her comeback song in 1983. This version from her "Private Dancer" album topped the Dance chart.
