Shirley Eikhard wrote "Something To Talk About" and according to her biography "All Of Me", fellow Canadian Anne Murray wanted to record it for the album "Something To Talk About" in 1986. The producers didn't think it would be a hit. These may have been the same people that vetoed Anne being first to issue "Put Your Hand In the Hand" as a single. This audio is from a live concert.

Bonnie Raitt (John's daughter) had her highest charting hit with "Something To Talk About". Recorded in 1990 it was released on her album "Luck Of the Draw" the next year. The single peaked at number twelve on the pop chart and number five on Adult Contemporary. The following year Bonnie won the Grammy for Best Female Vocal for the song.
